iPhone 5 details revealed by source claiming hand-on experience with prototype

iPhone 5
GaplekNews--Business Insider spoke to an industry source with details about the iPhone 5, supposedly having handled the device in person. Though this particular source has been right about Apple’s future products in the past, Business Insider warned readers that it was unable to verify his claims with another source.

The source revealed to Business Insider that Apple had initially planned to launch the iPhone 5 this year but was forced to change its course a few months ago. According to the source, Steve Jobs was not very happy with the phone’s large screen which would cause the iOS ecosystem to fragment.
As expected, the iPhone 5 had some impressive specs. It came with a 4’’ screen, an aluminum back and a 10MP camera. It had a capacitive home button, a “Flatter” form and hardware which is much faster than what is available in the market right now. Of course, the “Assistant’’ came preloaded on the smartphone as well, but it wasn’t called “Siri”, just “Assistant”. The iPhone 5 wasn’t without some glitches though; it suffered from poor battery life.
According to Business Insider’s source, Apple wants to use its “liquid metal” technology to make coloured iPhones in the future.  The prototype that the source got his hands on had an uncanny colour screen, which he says is an indication of brighter colours in the making. Apparently, Apple disguises features it is upgrading by making them ugly in the prototype phase.
Though the iPhone 5 never made it to the retail market, the iPhone 4S is continuing to create waves even weeks after its release. With Apple’s track record, we can surely hope for a new and improved iPhone 5 to take the smartphone world by storm sometime in the near future. MSN
