Football Manager Handheld 2012 out tonight

Gaplek News--SEGA have today confirmed that Football Manager Handheld 2012 is due to be released tonight on the App Store. The bad news is you’ll have to wait until midnight to get your hands on it.

From the information we have been sent, this years edition of the iOS version has taken the biggest steps forward to date. New features including updated leagues and competitions which include the addition of the Welsh leagues and Conference North and South and a new user interface. There’s also an improved match view as well as other improvements detailed over at the SI Games forum.
Also included in this years title is a new challenge mode which comes with 4 challenges as standard.
“The Saviour Cometh” – Your team are in a relegation battle half way through the season. Can you guide them to safety? *
“Injury Crisis” – Your team have an injury crisis leading to most of your first team players getting injured. Can you avoid getting the sack by still putting together a run of results.
“Unrest at home” – Your appointment as manager has left some senior players unhappy. Can you avoid being sacked before the end of the season by still achieving the boards ambitions?
“The Invincibles” – You’ve gone on a long run without losing. Can you keep it up and avoid losing for the rest of the season?
Although the challenge mode is a nice addition, it is the main mode which is the series’ bread and butter and is where most of your time will be spent.
The major criticism I had of last years game was the little improvement that had been made on the previous years effort. From the screens you can see below, the game looks to have had a tidy up of the graphics and the new improvements should mean most of my day is now spent playing Football Manager!
Although not confirmed in the press release below, Studio Director Miles Jacobson has Tweeted the game will cost £6.99. gamedot

  1. Team selection method! For my tablet its great but for my phone its awful and puts me off picking my own team its so fiddly. The way it's done on the tablet is great though.
