Vanessa Hudgens--Owed $38,000 by Ex-Producer?

I Love Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens
GaplekNews--Vanessa Hudgens wants her money, and she wants it now. The actress won a lawsuit against ex-producer Johnny Vieira last year, but hasn't yet seen a penny of the damages, attorneys fees and legal costs yet. She's getting really tired of waiting.
According to a report from TMZ, Hudgens filed legal papers on Wednesday asking that the judgment reached last year be enforced. Hudgens--of High School Musical fame--signed an agreement with Vieira back in 2005, with his promise of helping to launch her career.

It seems that the professional relationship between these two was severed just a year after their initial agreement, in 2006. However Johnny Vieira continued to use--without her consent, of course--images of Vanessa Hudgens to promote his own business.
As a result of the lawsuit, a judge awarded Vanessa Hudgens a total of about $38,000 last year--$29,500 in damages, plus an additional $9,314.62 for court costs and attorney's fees. And while that's all well and good--it would certainly be a lot better if she could actually
have the money. It's been a year since the judge's decision. It seems like Vieira has had more than enough time to pay.
Of course if Johnny Vieira doesn't have that kind of money, then Vanessa Hudgens will be faced with that proverbial situation of trying to draw blood from a rock. If it's not there, she's not going to be able to get it. And even if Vieira owns anything of significant value, it would mean yet another trip to court for the judge to demand it be liquidated and the proceeds given tpHudgens.
Oh, the sordid world of the rich and famous. It seems like even when they're rich and famous they're still plagued with money issues. It's pretty sleazy of this ex-producer to use Hudgens's image without her permission, so it sounds like he really does deserve to pay.
Will Vanessa Hudgens ever get the money owed to her by Johnny Vieira or will she be chasing that $38,000 around for the next several years? The legal system is slow and aggravating, but people who use others for monetary gain are even more so. celebsgather
